Default 2002 Security System Issues...

I have a 2002 Honda Civic SI. I had an aftermarket stereo system installed, with the amp mounted on the back of the back seat. I wanted to check and make sure that they gave me enough wire so that i could put the seat down, and when I did there was a big spark, and ever since my security system will not set. I can lock and unlock the doors with the remote, but the lights don't flash and it doesn't beep like it first did. I'm assuming it is a fuse that needs replaced??? If so, what fuse because the manual does not show which number the security system is on. Thanks for helping ahead of time!

thsi is everythign i found for power for security.

all under the hood for fusebox area.

check no. 19 80 amp
check no. 20
check no. 3 7.5 amp
check no. 9 10 amp
check no. 6 15 amp

check no. 10 under dash 7.5amp

unless your security system isnt factory then you would need to find that fuse which would be under dash close to the aftermarket alarm module box.

do you have a honda key fob?

It is the stock security system. I bought it from the dealer, so I'm assuming it is a honda key fob.

i dont know which fuse "honks" the horn when locking and unlocking but all the fuses i listed above are somewhat related to your security.

some of those are main power, ign, fuel relay, battery etc..

i would just check all the fuses underhood and under dash.

is it just the honking that doesnt work? does your "green key" light on dash work? does your ign key "light" ring work? im assuming your car starts and drives?

does your horn work at all?

yep, everything on the car works fine, like I said the doors lock and unlock as well. The alarm just won't set. I'll check all the fuses you listed and see if any are blown.

None of the fuses are blown, so I guess the fob needs reprogrammed? could that be an issue? or could the battery be dying?
