Default F23 Camshaft OIL SEAL replacement, need info!!

Hello!

I'm about to replace the front (timing belt side) oil seal for the camshaft on my F23A1. I would like to know if it's replaceable with the camshaft in place or if you need to remove it.

In my Accord factory manual, they show it being replaced while re-assembling the whole assembly, wich kind of led me to confusion..

Is it as simple as replacing the front crankshaft/balancer shaft oil seals?

Thanks!

Im kinda stuck on the crank seal myself on an F23A1. Just carefully remove the cam gear and take off the seal. You dont have to take off the entire camshaft. I think the cam seals are easier to remove than the crank.

thanks alot!

i did replace my front crankshaft seal (along with the balancer shafts), it was kind of a pain in the *** because i was so afraid of scoring the crankshaft or the outer bore.. Did it carefully with a set of picks, small flathead screwdrivers and if i remember correctly some small plyers (like long nose).. Was long but ended up being all good!
