Is this for a daily driver or some dedicated type of race style? Basic terms, understeer is when the front tires lose traction before the rear in a corner, such that even if the steering wheel/tires are turned, the car travels straight. Most cars, especially front-wheel drive, handle this way from the factory as it is safer and easier to control if the driver loses control. Oversteer is when the rear breaks loose first, ala drifting. Your prelude already has moderately neutral handling from the factory, with a slight bias towards understeer. Stiffening (enlarging) either of the sway bars will put bias towards that end; ie if you put in a larger rear sway bar but don't change the front, your car will have more tendency to oversteer.

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong somewhere in there.

+1 Try a Tanabe or Suspension Technique rear sway. I have both I can honestly feel the improvement.

If you don't understand UnderSteer/OverSteer, you have no business messing with the Sway Bars.......
Unless this is a 50/50 Track/Street car.......spend the money elsewhere man!

BTW: Just for knowledge, I use a stock front and 28mm Rear from Progress. I can drift my car like it was RWD around turns......YOU DON'T WANT THIS ON A STREET CAR!
I usually recommend this mod when a Driver has at least 10 track days under his belt tapping the 1000mi of Seat Time mark........

The car is a DD for the moment. i do take it to the track some times and also street race it. i upgraded the springs and shocks and now just trying to get it a little tighter around turns. The lude wont be a DD for long im going to rebuild the motor soon, so the car will be driven mainly on race days.

Spend money on track days before you spend money on a RSB.

what suspension are you running? What tires?
If its anything less than Ground Controls at 400lb+ and anything less than an Azenis/RS2/Star/RE11.......get that handled 1st!

yea get some decent if not great tires, then maybe replace some bushing with stiffer poly peices. then maybe you can go after some sway bars if ya still think it needs to handle better then that. i got some TOKICO blues with matching lowering springs and poly sway bar bushing an it handled good but not great then i put on my NITTO NEO GEN tires an the handling went through the roof. next on my part list for handling is the type sh front strut bar then MAYBE a bigger/stiffer sway bar.

Isn't the SH FSB a little thicker?
Personally I wouldn't mess with the FSB....I just don't feel a need.

SH front sway bar is smaller than the base model, IIRC. I'd have to double check my specs, but I'm 99.99% sure that's the case.

I run a Tanabe front sway bar. It seems to be the only tubular front sway bar on the market. However, I also run a custom rear sway bar that's much larger than anything else on the market.

I agree with Clint on the front "strut" bar. I noticed no change in performance when I removed mine (due to the way my shock mounts are designed). I run 750 lb/in front and 950 lb/in rear springs.
