found this weird site that says they make it for the f4
http://clearwaterbiker.easystorecrea...sw5-detail.htm

Otherwise another option you might have (and i'd check on the cbr forum for this) would be to do a swingarm conversion and then stretch that one. Or buy a custom built swingarm made for an F4i and make that fit your bike.

sweet.. thanks for the help.. that site scares me but im gonna call them and see what they have to say because i would probably just mess things up if i tried to do a conversion or make a different swingarm fit.. we'll see what they have to say.

anything will fit if you throw enough money at it. I'm not sure how compatible the swingarms are b/w the F4 and the F4i--but if the F4i fits, so should 03-06 600rr SA's, if i'm not mistaken.

Not to throw in any negativity, but what made you want an extended swingarm?

I owned an F4i for a little over a year and never lifted up the front wheel. It's pretty easy to NOT do a wheelie. Getting an extended swingarm isn't like getting a free pass to stay out of the emergency room.

I understand the bling factor, well, I get that justification, it doesn't make sense to me in this case.
With whatever solution you end up with you're probably more likely to end up crashing the bike WITH the extended swingarm as your suspension is going to be garbage and your turn in is gone.

So OP... you don't want to die and you purchased an extended swing arm?

here comes the negativity.. no i havent purchased anything as of yet.. and rdblckSV650S i do appreciate the info on suspension being garbage and my turn being gone, i figured it would change some of the handling and whatnot but not to that severe of an extent but in no way did i expect it to be some free ticket to never wreck.

IMO it would be safer to stick with the stock swing arm. If you want to get some bling points, look into powdercoating, different wheels, LED lights. An extended swingarm on an otherwise stock F4i is going to look silly.

If you want to talk about real performance mods that will make your bike more fun to ride, this is a place to do it. Just don't expect much support here if you are into the squidly things. Fair enough?

That we answered your question to the best of our ability means that we now move on to questioning why

i dont doubt that your questioning why and thats fair and im glad to explain but when you have more input besides how it will effect the handling and ridability of the bike thats when it becomes negative. and obviously if this is a part of honda-tech where i cant ask questions that havent already been answered and get a reply that says basically we are about performance mods that make your bike more fun to ride and besides that gtfo then i dont need any help in here. im a very friendly person that just wanted some knowledge, not ridicule. thanks for the knowledge, im out. peace.

well then... lets boil down you thread to the nuts.

You want to know if anyone here knows of a company or a place that will sell an extended swingarm for an old motorcycle because you want to assume the physical presence of a trendy misguided movement that seems to be sweeping the inner city and southeast motorcycle scene?

Do I got that right?

I think the answer is no... no one knows of or gives a damn about aesthetic treatments to a motorcycle with blatant disregard for a motorcycles function.

Extending a motorcycles frame geometry has a specific function and is used for very focused reasons... none of which you will be doing of that I am sure.

If you are looking for a trendy place to hang your hat, this might not be the right place as this H-T motorcycle forum is more slanted toward function over lifestyle... this is purposeful in that we strive to teach people the correct attitude and technological where with all to survive a truly long term way of life as a cyclist.
