Default the mini me runs

ok well i got my lost motion holder in, and installed it. i cranked the car and it started, it idled good, but stumbled when i reved it. maybe bad plugs, and im sure my ignition timing is off.

i got a code 14.

and i reused my throttle body, and IACV and used new gaskets. however theres a hose on teh bottom of the throttle body "fast idle solenoid" i guess? where do i hook it up to? there isn't a place on the new intake manifold. is it for a coolant line, or is it vacuum?

i still need some valve cover bolts tho. anyone have an extra set laying around?

yes its for coolant. coolant starts at the connection at the base of the intake manifold where it mates against the head. from here it goes through a small metal pipe and on to the fitv, then it leaves the fitv and enters the iacv. after leaving the iacv the coolant is routed under the intake manifold into the coolant pipe on the back of the block.

Your mechanical timing also may be off by one tooth.

if thats the case. how is the easiest way to fix that, besides pulling the crank pully off again.?

All you do is set the the crank at TDC and losen the timing belt tensoner and slide the belt off the cam gear. Set the cam gear at TDC and slide the belt back on and tighten the tensoner back.

First check the mechanical timing. Remove the valve cover and upper timing belt cover. Then turn the crank pulley COUNTERCLOCKWISE until the cam pulley is positioned precisely at TDC1. At this moment, check whether the crank pulley is also perfectly positioned at TDC1.

The question was how to reset the timing belt without taking the crank pulley off, not how to check if its at tdc. I know its nit picky, but specifics mean the difference.

I understood the question, and you gave a satisfactory answer for it. I felt the need to stress that, before going through that exercise, it would be wise first to double check whether the mechanical timing is actually off.
