smoking petty bad dunno what todo
alright i bout this 1992 civic cx. bought it home changed the spark plugs, new wires, new bat,new air filter, took all my ground off and cleaned them up and o replaced them and so on. now when i start my car it starts and runs just pertty smokey and if i give it gas and get even more smokey. it throws code 43 now and i searched that quite a bit found that it could be O2 sensor o maybe fuel filter. but when the code goes off and it gose into limp mode its even more smokey. i dunno what it is.
could a bad cat cause this?
am i running lean maybe bacuse of a clogged fuel filter?
could i be running rich cause of the O2?
i mean its smokey vary smokey and loss of power
i think my rings are pooched
(just me thinking nagitive)

What color is the smoke?
White = coolant so headgasket or head are gone/cracked
blue = oil burning so valve seals or rings
black = flooding = too much gas.

do a leakdown test and then you can get your answer on the problem you got.
or you can change you fuel filter (its only $25), remove your cat.
Also you can do a compression test, if you get low compression it could be your head gasket or rims. But a leakdown is your best bet
