Default Prothane vs Energy Suspension motor mounts

Anyone have opinions on who has the better product? I've been trying to look up urethane grades on their websites without luck so i'll call tomorrow. They're closed now I know the debate has gone on about bushings in other sections of honda-tech but I didn't see one for motor mounts.

You aren't going to notice a difference between the two.......

Energy Suspension: Made is USA, two decades of experience

Prothane: founded in 1991

I have energy suspension trailing arm bushings in my 91 civic hatch and have had no problems. Whichever you go with I would recommend the black bushings, they say that its impregnated with graphite to reduce squeaking.

If Prothane was founded in 91 then they too are only 2 years short of 2 decades...lol

I have the ES full kit. Before I purchased them I read a fair number of reviews. They all said that both are pretty much the same and to go with the black ones. For the same reasons that uberEFtuner mentioned.

do you guys have any idea what level of urethane they use? I was debating between these inserts since they're cheap and the mounts made by explicit speed....only thing is the explicit speed mount kits don't have the front mount and that's the one I think went bad.

If your plans are to use the ES inserts to fix a worn out mount, it isn't advised. According to ES you need to have a good working mount in order to use their inserts. IMO if you use an insert on a broken or worn out OEM mount your taking your chances.

when you get insert you only get the front mount insert. I just bought one and it made a big diffrence and your mounts must be in good shape not cracks or tears.

Protthane and es are the company
