how much horsepower am i going to get out of a mini me swap
I have 89 civic hatch 1.5 motor if i put d16z6 head and y8 intake manifold how much more is that going to give me or should i just put a d16z6 motor in thanks jesse

i dont really think hes asking how much power he will gain from a mini-me i think he just wants to know if it would just be better swappin in the whole z6.

Probably get like 115 hp at the most to the crank. Just swap in a z6 or zc. Or just save more of your school lunch money for a b, k, h, j, or even a f swap. D's are going out of style like mc hammer pants are comming back.

but it was a stupid question. they got a few HP estimators online. fairly good too.
WRONG! I am seeing MORE d-series builds now that i have in years. because of the economy, and the freakin oil BS people are looking for fun yet economical. D-series has the best of both worlds.
Use just some OEM rods...they are all the same...shot peen them, they will be there for a while if you do that. no need to modify b-series rods...besides, i would NEVER run anything B series on ANY of my cars cept for the TB
