i need a new oil pan for my d16z6 and i was wondering does it have to come off another d16z6?

Pretty sure all the D series are the same.

 

um no not all the dseries pans are the same.

you need a 92-95 oil pan. the 96-00 are aluminum. 92-95 are steel. (or visa versa cnt remember)

they also have a different gasket. 96-00 have a lip for the gasket. 92-95 dont.

and i cant remember which it is but a y8 oil pan wont fit a z6 engine b/c the oil pick-up hits the pan. or reverse that. cant remember the exact combo.

I said it didnt matter cuz i had a 94 dx d15 and had put a 98 y8 vtec head on and oil pan.........
