Default Trying to learn more about my new car.

I bought a 93 si hatch with a ls/vetc setup, I was wondering how I could tell what kind of computer I have. A am wondering if I can drop a b18c1 in there? I don't know much about the car, and I guess I am asking how I can figure it out...

i seriously think you need to look over Helms manual before you start asking questions. theres just too much to know about a car. download one from online. read it over and let us know if you have any questions but Im sure many of your questions will be answered in that manual.

I know, but I spun a rod and cracked my head.....

I am wondering how I can tell if I have OBD1 or 2, so I can know what to swap in.

Odds are it was an obd1, but you can check by looking at the ecu.

pull out the ecu from the passenger side, right under the dash on the side. If you want to know what ECU you have.

Ok thanks, but I have a new question...

I am building my new motor soon, and I am about to order pistons and rods. I am looking at Crower fast times LS rods[$275], and P30 honda pistons[$270]. These will be used with a LS crank. I am still looking to find some new OEM LS rods for cheap.

Does this sound good? Would it be that much better to go with GSR rods and crank? Also I will have:

SK2 stg2 cams
SK2 valves
SK2 duel springs
SK2 intake manifold
SK2 cam gears
GSR head

With a nice clutch and tranny.

I am just looking for input/advice from some experienced guys

..thanks.
