Complete Bushing Kit Questions...
After deciding to redo the suspension and steering parts on my car, I have made the decision that it is essential to purchase a master bushing kit for it. The car is a 1992 Honda Civic Si with, no exaggeration, around 380K on the chassis. There are squeaks and creaks coming from all four corners. I have done alot of research on the subject and after understanding that I cannot afford to purchase all OEM bushings, I narrowed it down to either purchasing the Hardrace full kit or the PIC/Suja1 full kit. I am just wondering if anyone has positive experiences that will further help me to decide. Thanks.
hum... I don't get it.. if you cannot afford OEM ones then i'm not sure your going to be able to afford the additional labor cost of having them pressed out.
Maybe there are cheaper for ef then eg.
All new bushings for EF was only about $180ish... (excluding rear trailing arm bushing)
I know PIC offeres Suja1 kit but they are like $215ish.
If you don't mind all the sqweeks or harsh ride you coulg spend about $150 and get the full ES masterkit....

squeeks are often balljoints. not bushings that need replacement.
go OEM. replace the right parts with the best parts. dont just throw money at it with aftermarket crap.

My front upper control arm bushings squeak like hell. They're cheap crappy aftermarket OE-style replacements (the ones on eGay that go for $80/pair with bushings and ball joints). The ball joints also make creaking/popping noises when the knuckles turn, and they're less than 2 years old.
I'll be replacing them probably this weekend with brand new genuine OE Honda replacement upper arms with bushings and ball joints. I also just got a complete HardRace kit for about $250 shipped. I'm hoping it will improve things on my car with original 15-yr old original bushings.

It must be a whole lot cheaper for the body style before mine because the cheapest OEM prices I can get, where I usually order all my Honda parts from, would be about $150 just to do the FLCAs. Then add on the cost of the trailing arm bushings and then the rest for the rear, and you are way over the price I have gotten from Hardrace and PIC. As far as the ES, I can get amazing prices on these through my work, but I have read so many negative articles on them, especially on daily driven vehicles, that I have thrown them out of the mix.
