Build Thread.

PLUG: Make sure to check out the Fuddrucker Friday meet happening this Friday, June 12th @ 8:00p.m.
https://honda-tech.com/forums/southern-california-87/%95-orange-countys-fuddrucker-friday-june-12th-%40-8-00p-m-%95-2531639/

My name is Dominic. I've wanted to do this for a long time, and the moment is finally here. I will be debuting my average EF within the next 6 months at a Redline Time Attack event. This is of course, after I have completed a couple HPDE events to get some seat time and track experience. I haven't been more excited about anything. I cannot wait to test my skills, compete with others, and learn learn and learn more about my car and track racing in order to increase my driving abilities. Luckily, I run in the same circle with Charles T.('92 Honda Civic Si), Henry N.('04 Acura RSX Type-S), Frankie ('06 Hyundai Accent) and Spencer N.('95 Toyota Tercel) whom all run in the time attack 'street class' events so I'll be allotted some good pointers and fine tuning help and advice! I will be making updates to the parts/components list as I go along so just stay tuned... But before I track, the upgrades I will be doing include the Earls stainless-steel brake lines accompanied by synthetic brake fluid and the Falken Azenis 205/50/15. Then after some seat time, I will see where I want to go from there. I could definitely use some sponsors so any of you out there checking this thread, definitely hit me up via PM and I will respond with utmost urgency! I just want to throw a quick shout-out to Thomas James P. for being there from the beginning to always help and give his opinion. Alright well here's my baby.

The Aug issue should have the other tires that were not out soon enough to make this test including the 225 Toyo, the RS3 and the AD08.

Oh yeah I know. It's expensive though, you know. I'm still a college student so I'm just going to make due with the Azenis and get used to my car on the track, the way it handles, and work out all the kinks of those natures and then upgrade but for now, for me, the Azenis will [have to] do.

Well the kuhmo XS are only $8 more per tire than the Azenis! $32 for 1 second a lap would be the best money you ever spend!

Also IMHO I would look into ditching those coilovers and getting the race valved konis and GC coilovers with custom spring rates.

this is the conversation i had with ASR

NlCK BERMUDEZ (2:52:14 PM): is there any way to get a 24mm kit for the ef maybe using the 32mm hardware with a da 24MM BAR?
NlCK BERMUDEZ (2:53:15 PM): EF=88-91 HONDA CIVIC
ASRTECH (3:41:31 PM): Hello Nick, we will be working on an EF kit similar to the DA that we offer now.
ASRTECH (3:42:09 PM): it should be out early summer
NlCK BERMUDEZ (3:42:44 PM): thanks allot is there going to be a waiting list
ASRTECH (3:43:18 PM): no there wont be any waiting list there should we will make plenty of them for every dealer
NlCK BERMUDEZ (3:45:50 PM): thanks again i'll definatly be buying one of these
ASRTECH (3:46:45 PM): thank you for your interest! it will be very similar to the DA kits as seen on G2IC.com
why not? I definitely want the swaybar connecting to the asr subframe brace.

Get the XS's! I use them for track days, they are almost as good as R-comps, and much nicer to drive on the streets than Azenis. If budget is an issue, cut it from somewhere else to get better tires... for instance the strut bars, sub-frame brace, and roll-center adjusters. The 6-pt cage will make the car tons more stiff.

A correctly installed swaybar on an EF or DA will not be attached to the subframe in any way.

This post has no tech, It is basically a shopping list of stuff you want to buy. You are starting with a car you have been hardparking and just decided you want to race it. I would be more interested in the setup if you were sharing a proven setup that works well but you are unexperienced in setting up a car for the track. Nice looking car, but this post is nothing more than a "wish list" from someone who has not done their research.

The subframe brace is useless on an EF because the sway bar does not attach to the subframe. Here is a link explaining it.

I understand that. But ASR is making a Subframe/Swaybar kit that has the swaybar attaching to the subframe.

this is correct guys

it's going to be similar to the da kit here are the instructions on installing the da kit

http://www.kingmotorsports.com/image...142.pdf?536619

as you can see it reinforces the rear drastically so that you can mount anything from a type r 22mm sway bar to a 32mm hollow bar this kit is going to add allot of tune ability to the ef/ed chassis

i message ASR asking if there was a eta on this kit and i got no answer back i'm going to try again this week i will post updates back on this thread if that's alright with the op of the thread

Thanks... but I want to do something I love. I've always wanted to actually track my car so that's what I'm going to do. Plus, mentally I've never really liked the idea of autocross haha. Don't ask me why but I think it has something to do with like a fake/parkinglot/cones set up. It reminds me of elementary school haha.

Well these parts are custom made. My friend is sponsored by PCI and is able to get all these parts... So I don't have a link, but they do exist haha.
Oh and seeing as I started the Fuddrucker meet, I will definitely be there haha. You should come out for sure, there are never any ef's there.
