Flaking headlights?
I'm about to replace the headlights in my EG with stock ones, I've only found one so far in the junk yard that is in really great shape, I brought it home and I looked at it the other day and I realized that the shiny part of the headlight (inside behind the clear plastic around the bulb) is flaking off, anyone know a permanent fix for it?
Don't spray paint those things man, unless you guys have seen a "chrome" spray paint that is actually shiny enough to put out a good beam, then let me know what kind that is cuz I've never found any "chrome" spray paint that looked like real chrome. If its not flaking really bad I'd leave it alone until it gets bad then pick up a new set. Just my .02 from a former automotive refinisher stand point.
yes, the clear plastic will come off of the headlight, i know they make chrome spray paint, but not sure how well it does as far as reflectiveness, i'll probably just end up buying a new set, i'd just rather have OEM ones
