Default Z6 head on a Y7 block?

hey guys a buddy wants to get rid of a D16Z6 vtec head from an EG and tells me it will fit on my D16y7 non-vtec from a 2000 Civic EK does it fit and what modifications do i need to make for it?

it will fit, your y7 has a three wire iacv that you need to convert to two wire that the z6 uses. obd1 dizzy has two plugs while your y7 has one plug- get an adapter or follow a writeup on how to rewire it. you need an obd2 to obd1 ecu adapter harness and a p28 ecu. a few other odds n ends. d-series.org has a bunch of info on it, just lookup mini me's

it will probably be better to go with a y8 head, less of a hassle, its pretty much just bolt on

doing the same thing atm with z6 headand y7 block
What cam and timming belt do i use for this setup?

Im currently using z6 cam with z6 timming belt but the timing is abit off
