Default Shock/Coilover Combo??????

I just bought a 98 integra sedan around a week ago and I got some skunk2 coilover sleeves the next day for 100 bucks. It sits pretty low right now but its really bumpy, not too harsh, but really bumpy. Does this setup become less bumpy with aftermarket shocks? What shocks are the best for this setup?

Any help would be great. Especially if you have experience with these coilovers.

I'll post pics if you guys want too.

You definitely need to purchase new struts. It' so bouncy because your stock struts are not designed for use with coilover sleeves.

Search around for different struts ie. koni's(yellows if you aren't on a budget ), tokico, etc. Don't purchase those brands oe replacement ones though, as they will be shot quickly

How low is "pretty low"? If its slammed you might be hitting the bumpstops.

true^. i mean, you can take the bump stops out if you want to. as far as your setup goes, i've read that the skunk2 are pretty bouncy when compared to other coilover setups. i have heard that monroe sensatrac are pretty comfortable shocks. and they are supposedly made for performance lowered cars. and they are alot cheaper then koni, tokico, ect... just an idea.

Getting new struts would help. What's the mileage on your Integra? Might be a good time to change your oem struts out for new ones. Koni's and Tokico's are good choices.

it has 124 thousand on it. and i cut the bump stops in half.

its about 23 inchs from the ground to the bottom of the highest part of the arch in the fender. so i think i lowered it 2-3 inchs, maybe more...

i was looking at tokico blues. anyone got this combo?

your car is too low for any garden variety shocks. either buy the skunk2 sport shocks which are about the same price as blues or koni sports. ride height is why you're bitching about bumpy btw

i dont see how ride height has anything to do with the spring rates.

i'm pretty sure the ride is bumpy cuz the struts are old and blown.
