Default 94 Del SOL

Hey everyone, im new to this site and i have a question. I am looking at purchasing a 94 del sol auto with about 115000 miles on it for around $1000 which is a decent price. The problem that im having is that the car needs some work. its bone stock and needs a few things: tie rods, re seal the windshield(water has been leaking through), body is dinged and dinted not badly but not perfect, and a list of 5- 10 other small things. The cars motor is perfectly fine but may need a head gasket in the next 30,000 miles. The transmission jerks when going into 2nd gear. Obviously i am lookin to replace both motor nd trans sometime in the future. What im wondering is, is it worth the price? Im looking for it to be a daily driver for a while then slowly put some work in it. PLease let me know what u think. thanks

I also am new here and I noticed your post. Yes it is worth it IF the engine and trans will hold up for you. Also if you aren't doing the work yourself, consider cost of having this done! Good Luck!!

I just bought a 94 Del Sol just needed another head gasket-blowed one pre-purchase- for about that and it also has a bad mass air flow sensor and the throw out bearings are going bad... But we are just going to put in another motor and trans this w/e- vtec of course...lol (Luckily we have some extra motors on hand, due to me racing-always need a back up...lol) We got mine a little less than $1000.

The only reason we are changing the engine is the head we put on it has been shaved for my race car and we know the bottom end won't hold up to it long. And I was whining for VTEC!!!

Sorry for the rambling!
