ok i just bought a 98 Civic EX coupe...the only thing there is minor door dings which is ok. I know the car has been hit on the driver side headlight area...and it has been fixed but there is a slight larger gap where the headlight, fender, and hood meet. like the pass side has about maybe 1/4 inch or less....the driver side has a gap that about little larger then a 1/4 inch....and sits higher a little. i mean i know the apron could be bent slightly but everything else lines up...where the fender meets the door and the lower part of the bumper.
is there a way to adjust the hood so it sits lower and to move it. i know there are the rubber things that keep the hood up so i will be adjusting a little. for the hinge part loosening those two 10mm bolts on each side would it be possible to shift it a little?
heres what i'm talkoing about.

u can adjust the rubber ,to lower the hood at the headlight.
but when that is not possible. u see that the bumper, headlight, fender line up very well. so u can try to slightly bent the hood down to line it up better.
maybe the hood is immitation ****.
good luck.nice car

so yea the hood isn't OEM. but i was able to shift it a little so both sides have the same amount of gap. the only thing is the hood is still a little higher on that side....i turned the thing all the way down and it still does...so its going ot be like that. after shifting it and adjusting the rubber thing it looks better then before so i'll just keep it like that for now.
when i get more money i'll take it to the body shop and see what they can do.

i saw that once.and a turkish man fixed that in a couple of minutes.
he stood on the radiator support and he bended the hood to the left, and the to the right and then he meassured the hood with the fenders and the headlights, and voila .it was exactly streight.
i thought he was ruining the hood then, when i saw that.that was amazing.
i think sometimes u have to be soft and sometimes u have to be powerfull to get the job done.
but i think u do the right thing to go to a bodyshop, and let them take a look at it.
good luck
