NEED HELP!! EG brake lights are not working....ideas??
i just got this Eg hatch from my uncle and its issue is that the rear brake lights are NOT working. When you step on the brakes the lights do not turn on.
What i did:
Tried new brake light switch, it is not the issue.
Checked all the fuses none of them are blown.
checked all light bulbs are all good.
Other Thoughts:
My brother in law speculates that i have a wiring issue. could this be?
Also is there another way to rig up the brake lights to something else to create another stationary brake lights?
Do you electrical and lighting gurus know how to help me? please do so!

1. Check for battery voltage to the brake switch connector on the White/Green wire from fuse 42 in the underhood fuse/relay box.
2. Check for battery voltage coming out of the brake switch connector on the Green/White wire when applying the brake pedal - the Green/White wire goes to the brake lights.
3. Verify the brake switch terminal connections are clean and tight.
yes you can hook up your lights to a switch but might be a pain if you have to flip the switch everytime you brake. your grn/wht wire is your stop light wire. but then you will be cutting into other wires to hide your problem that you will eventually fix.

Same thing happened to my dd hatch. Tried the same things you did. In the end, I wasnt getting power to my brakelight switch, sooooooo, I clipped my power wire (the green/white one) in a place where it could be easily re-wired down the road if need be, then ran the wire from the switch to a fuse in my under-dash fusebox. Fixed my problem.
I had the same problem in my integra. But it turned out that one of the rear tail light bulbs was the wrong one. someone had just shoved in a 1156 instead of a 1157.
