H4 bulbs questions
hi ya'll!!!!
i own the JDM Accord headlight housing which uses the H4 light bulbs like 92+ civic & del sol do, i would like to know if any type of blue bulbs(non name brand) crack or pop after few months or years. the reason why i'm asking this is that when i used to have the USDM headlight housings which used the 9005& 9006 bulbs, and when i had the blue(non-name brand) bulbs, they tend to pop or melt inside of the housing.
i don't really mind the bulbs melt inside of housings but i hate to see the bulbs pop inside of the housings, since it will cause million pieces of blue glasses inside of housings.
is anyone here with experiencing the popped bulbs inside of housing? what's the common symptoms of those cheap bulbs after they've been used for couple weeks or months?
please advise!
thanks :D

Stick with stock wattage bulbs. Most wannabe-HID bulbs are high wattage because a stock wattage bulb will have insufficient lumens output due to the thick blue coating. In general, this is why most wannabe-HID bulbs are not very good for seeing at night. If you insist on getting a blue bulb, stick with FMVSS108-compliant bulbs. That means the bulb must be marked as a 9003 bulb instead of H4. Most of the street legal blue bulbs have a color temperature between 3500K-4000K, which is comparable to PIAA Super White's 3800K color temp.
Sylvania Cool Blue, General Electric Super Blue, Wagner LazerBlue, etc. are examples of street legal blue bulbs.
What do you want from your bulbs? Good night vision or to be an HID-poseur? Let me know which path you want to take, and I will help light the path. (pun intended!)
