ive got a 97 ex motor in my 93 cx. IM using a 94 civic si header and it rubbing into my oil pan. It actually made a pretty deep groove. Are the headers the same for both gens or are they different. Also, i want to buy a DC sports header, which should i get, the 92-95 one or the 96+? thanks

Yeah i think the year models will interchange, but no a 1.5 to 1.6 i think there are some clearance issues. Like what you are talking about. I think that the 1.6 is just a little bit taller. I dont think it will be a good idea to get a 1.5 header for the 1.6 motor. Gte the 1.6 header and i think everything will be just fine.

 

yeah i think they are the same i'm currently using a 99 d16y8 header on my d16z6 and it's fine except for the fact that the y8 one is more restrictive but i should be getting my header any day now
