Default Head Lift? ARP stud reusability?

Ill try to make this as clear as possible.

installed a freshly built short block, attached 2000 mile head on block. Ran it on a greddy kit at 6 psi for 2 weeks with no problems.

Went to get dyno tuned 2 hours away. 39 pulls 6.5 hours later i get the car back. Drove 2 hours home boosting having fun what not 2 hours till home. No problems.

Drove boosted at 13 lbs 242hp 215tq for a week no problem. Ran it hardest i have ever ran it on this past weds. Did about 4-5 back to back 3rd gear pulls. Notice car overheating. Pop hood overflow full of coolant...slowly leaked rad preassure out. Radiator was half full? well i couldnt see any coolant and put a good bit in from the overflow. Decided this was head lift. retorqued head bolts from 65 to 74lbs

Drove 1.5 hours today to the airport boosting from exit to entrance ramp and about an hour in i started overheating(arrow at 3/4 at most) so i pull over asap and again overflow full and i slowly let the preassure out of the rad.

I continued on to the airport, and then a city near by, and then i drove home 1.5 hours keeping boost under 6 psi. Got back no overheating problems my hose is hard(preassurized) i found a very very very tiny leak on my water neck. I am letting the car cool down now to see if i have lost any coolant.

No white smoke from my exhaust, and no bubbles in coolant when i rev.

Now the reason why i asked about arp reuseability is i have used these arp studs and torqued them down about 10 different times. The thing is they were tq down to 65 lbs when i did the recent swap. I decided to retq them down to 74lbs. Well when i did them 8 bolts needed a good 180 degree of tq which is way more then 9 extra lbs i have added which makes me believe the studs were streched during heavy load. I have torqued these bolts down to 75 lbs in the past. So my question is are these bolts past their usefulness since i have torqued and retorqued them so many times that they have stretched?

does a simple new set of arp and head gasket seem right? Once a headgasket leaks it loses its sealability right? I just dont understand why it took a week of driving tuned at 13 lbs to finally blow a gasket or lift the head if that is the case.

Doesnt ARP now recommend torque to 80 ft/lbs? you may need a new HG instead of just a retorque by now

^thats another thing i was wondering since it blew out already dose that mean gasket doesnt seal anymore?

did ARP change? i know alot of people do 80lbs but i thought it was still 63 or whatever.

Sounds like you did lift the head, and burnt the edge of the gasket. Once you lift the head the gasket is not going to work as well.
I think your presurizing the hoses only at idle(does that make any sense), your only sucking coolant when boosting in other words.
We could speculate all day on this but the best way to find out whats up is to do a pressure check on the cooling system, and a compression check, do both when the motor is hot, and then again after its been sitting overnight. You could also top dead center each piston and look into the spark plug hole, do this when its cold you'll have a much better chance of seeing seepage, leave the plugs in untill you do this though,(overnight while its cooling).
I can relate to your head stud dilema, and you gasket issue. The ARP studs in my car have been re-torqued almost a dozen times, personally I have not had a problem with re-use, check with ARP about STD. length of the stud, compare against your own.
Great job describing your problem by the way, hope this helps!, BTW the small leak is probably adding to your problem.

^thanks.

i have also noticed that there is carbon and lil black pieces looks like well burnt things in my coolant.

I also think the head lifted. I would take the head off...get a new gasket. If the ARP's haven't seen too many re-torques re-use them and torque them to 80 ft/lbs. If in doubt you can get new ARP's too. I lifted my head and had the same problem. Put a new gasket in and re-torqued to 80 ft/lbs, haven't had a problem since. You can also do a leakdown test if you have one available. Take the radiator cap off and i bet you coolant will push out of the radiator when you pressurize one of the cylinders.
