sounds like a computer problem for sure. something with the ecu. almost sounds like a rev limiter or something. but i have no idea. just guessing. lol. just a bump so someone who maybe knows better can give you some help.
It did this with the stock ECU as well, i just replaced it with a phearable.net p28, it some how helped the sound. like before it last from like 2600 all the way to like 3300rpms. now it stops at like 2800-3000rpms. thanks for the bump though! help.
D16/d15 head non VTEC, Phearable.net Chipped p28 running the base map, 440cc injectors, t3/t4 turbo,3" downpipe, 2.5" Charge pipe, walboro 255, Open dump Turbo XS wastegate. built head, Stock cam.

change the valve. If it helps, you'll know right away.
Here's something I read up on someone with the same symptoms as you.

Change out the IAC, see if that helps. Also get it tuned before you mess something els up and run into more problems.
that link to civic forums, those are the exact symptoms that my car has, im thinking vaccum i have been checking and double checking everything today i went in and adjusted the IAC it got better but its still there just not as violent. im thinking the vacume lines for the BOV ,boost gauge ect. right now i have them on plastic T fittings. I think i'm going to look in to vaccum distrubution block. Any other theories anybody?

Looking at the video looks like you are still using the original DX manifold with the 3 wire IAC. OBD1 ECU will not run the 3 wire IAC. You should convert to AN EX manifold with the 2 wire IAC and rewire it. Also you should get it tuned.
going to a higher bar map sensor is onyl necessary if you plan on going beyond 12 psi (what hondas stock map sensor can handle).
however, a faulty map sensor could cause your throttle problem.
you can check the voltage @ the sensor to determine if it is good. i dont remember how, but the manual should say. i'd also check out that IAC.

sometimes people hook up map and tps sensor backwards. could make you run like that. switch em up. also if your ecu was set for a differnt than stock map it could do that. definately is a map issue of some sort
Yeah i do have a different MAP in my ecu but the stock ecu does the same thing. Im not pretty sure i hooked all the sensors up right. i got the manual so ill test the voltage tomorrow after work. Any other suggestions in the mean time?
Yea just try switching the plugs
I'm actually going to Kauai this weekend but my tuning laptop is having issues and won't connect to the Internet so my darn ectune is locked since I missed an update

sound like the ecu is in limp mode. Thats just my guess. You should also look into what integralactic said about the 3 wire iac to a 2 wire iac. and also get it tune.
