i was driving then every now and then the car would shut off but it would start right back up. it happend 4 times in 1 day. then that night it did it agian. then it wouldnt turn back on when i tryed to start it.? then after like 10times it started back up but there was a ticking in my motor (B16) it sounds like it was coming from the right side of the motor what should i do or try to fix this??? plz help

 

take it to a mechanic or start By taking your oil pan off and your valve cover and check things. if its that bad take it to a mechanic and have them rebuild it or do it your self like a champ with good stuff

 

Check some things out(oil level, timing belt tension, ect) then give us some more info. With this little bit of info it is hard to determine what is going on. The tick could be anything from a spun bearing to a out of adjust lifter in the head. Do some research and get back to us.

i just bought my cousins si off of her because it died doing this. i have the same problem but mine wont start i think its a mixture of things but im pretty sure it has to do with the engine but no check engine light! she ran this poor car into the ground now i will try to bring it back im gonna check the above things first tho thanks guys.

well i found out out i gotta rebuild so anyone know where i can get like a rebuild kit or something clost to that. im not looking to race my car just want a nice stock em1
