is there a way to get my 05 civic to throw a cel

i no the way to get it on my 95

but ive never worked on ne newer systems

Try driving around without the gas cap on?

I think he wants to check his cels. You need a reader tool thing. I dunno what the actual name of it is. But you can get them from your local auto-parts store. They should also be able to read them for you at the store.

just unplug something under the hood.. o2, tps, anything.. and then drive it.. lol

 

On the 96-00 the easiest to disconnect is the IAT (Intake Ait Temperature) sensor. It might be the same with yours. Mine is right on the intake filter box. Or try disconnecting the O2 sensor.

 

i have a few problems with a few lights lite up on my dash

and yes she is runnning rough

guess i need to be a lil more clear

basicly i want to know if i can get a diagnostic code

like i can on my eg without a scaner

yeah you can still jump the ecu and it will flash like the OBD1 cars. But OBD2 cars has a port where you can plug in an onboard diagnostic scanner to read what the problem is.
