Default Spark plug wire?

Ok , so last nite my car was started making a wierd tapping noise. I opened my hood to listen. I removed my spark plug cover and noticed the wire in cylinder one(closet to cam gears) popped up. I pushed it down and it went away. problem solved, NO!

This morning on the way to work it did it again, wire pops out. I pushed it back in with the car on and i feel pressure pushing it back up.

Whats causing this??? Im at work so i cant really check it and its raining out.. Any ideas what it could be? Bad wire, plug is loose???

These aren't new wires. They're MSD wires and i had them on the car for about 2yrs... Just started popping out last nite.

I can feel pressure pushing the wire up...

I haven't even put 10,000 miles on these wires, the lude isnt my daily, i drive it once in a while, not every day...

I would get rid of the MSD wires. OEM wires only.

Step one would be to make sure your spark plug hasn't started to back itself out of the hole for whatever reason. If there is still pressure, make sure your valve cover grommets are properly sealing

there will be an obscene amount of oil in the plug tube in this case...

Yeah, tighten the spark plug and get some NGK wires. They fit far better than most aftermarket wires

I use these. They've been on my car for 30k+ and I've only encountered one minor issue. They don't fit in the OEM plug-wire-holder-clip-thing.

Once the damn rain stops im going to see if the spark plug is loose. I hope thats all its is.

Grommets are good becuz there is no oil in the plug tubes, but i will double check the valve cover is sealing right ...

Thanks for the help, i'll let ya'll know what the outcome is once i can work on it.

Ok so it finally stopped raining. I went to check the sparkplug and i put the sparkplug socket w/ extension in and turn it with my hand to see if it was loose.... IT SURE WAS!!! WTF!!

I took out the plug to look @ it and it looked like this...

Put it back in and tighten it and turned on the car.. No more pressure pushing the wire up.

So tomorrow morning i will be giving my car a tune up...new plugs, wires ,cap and rotor...

This is for all you guys help!!!
