I just dropped in a jdm b16a with original d16y8 wire harness,only things switched as far as wiring is plugs to the alternater,piggyback to obd1, and a piggyback off the dizzy to obd2.
The car starts and runs until you touch the gas, then rpms go down until let off. Ive tried different throttle bodies/tps,and have traced all of my wiring.
car has been down for almost two weeks now so any help would be most appreciated. Thanks!

 

look for vacuum leaks. What does it idle at?

 

Sounds like a vacuum leak for sure. Did you bother to replace the hoses?

 

IT idles between 800 and 1000

 

NO, I just plugged one vucuum off the back of the manifold.

 

TPS and MAP plugs backwards

 

When I switched the two it took longer to start and ran worse

try a different map sensor?

 

using p28 with a skunk2 chip,and have tried the p30,y8,and y7.

 

I have also tried three different map sensors, not sure if I should vanpire clip the four wires to the ecu for the cfs as a delete.

 

Those skunk2, spoon, mugen, etc etc eBay chips are trash. Get a ECU for that motor or have a chip burned with the base maps to that motor.

 

I just made the mistake of having the map and tps backwards today and this is exactly what it did.

 

tps calibrate properly? any cels?

 

Even if the tps isnt calibrated, it will still run the car and let it rev up and everything. It wouldnt cause the problem the op is having. What cel's are you throwing?
