Well im painting my car yellow... I want something that almost looks like a highlighter yellow. I want something bright and not mustard looking...Any suggestions....

Phoenix Yellow is the way to go that is, if you want attention

actually phoenix yellow isnt that bright. its pretty pale compared to other yellow's. my bro-in-law painted his 00 si phoenix yellow, looked bright at first, but then his bro painted his 98 hatch some kind of mazda yellow. the mazda yellow makes the phoenix yellow look really pale. mazda yellow=

Canary Yellow, Its the stock ITR Yellow in Japan. And no its not PY.

 

Theres a car in the US that comes stock with Canary Yellow.... Guess which car it is.



btw Sunlight Yellow is the CTR

 

95 Ford Mustang GT..... I know cause my old roommate used to have one (now the focker has a 99 gunmetal NSX with Comptech I/H/E on it)

Actually I didnt think domestics had that color.. 96+ NSX for the Canary Yellow.

 

hMmm thats wierd, in the BASF color book I have it lists NSX as Canary Yellow.

So that is Phoenix Yellow? That was my first guess but I've never actually seen it so I wanted you guys to say. What color do you guys like for CRXs?

 

for crx... a charcoal color... or dark grey of somewhat... like bmw steel gray

 

you can't determine a color from a photograph on a computer screen. All computer screens show colors differently, not to mention the photo's colors can come out different depending on the light and camera's settings.

And the yellow used on M3's is called Dakar Yellow. Some yellows that I hate are those used on the 90's 300ZX's and the late 80's 3rd gen Preludes. Stock CRX yellow isn't as bad, but it's not one of my favs, either.

 

Canary Yellow has a shade of orange in it...I should know, I had a Canary Yellow Ranger Splash

Well my truck is pretty bright, it's Nisans Solar Yellow

 

i had my 240sx painted viper yellow and it was really bright. also the yellow on the mazda protege 5 is really bright too.
best yellow ive ever seen though is the 3rd gen RX7 yellow. sorry but PY yellow has too much orange in it

 

I like the minty ones though

 

i think the covette yellow is pretty bright.

 

Just don't get that WRX yellow, looks like *** cheese.
