Default Buyer Beware: Alberto in Arlington, TX

So I am pretty new to the honda world. So I see this listing on craigslist for Acura GSR Leather rear seats for $200. Brand New from Acura. Never installed, never sat in. I get to his house and it was like 9pm or so. I wasnt able to test fit them to my car, but he assured me they were GSR seats. So I bought them. Turns out there Honda Prelude seats. So they don't fit. I contact Alberto and he said all sales final. That its all my fault, and now im stuck with the seats. Ive gone to the dudes house to talk to him and he will never come out to speak with me. He said we made a deal and no money back. Although I have told him the "Deal" we shook on was $200 for GSR leather seats. He also mentioned he worked at Redline Racing in Arlington. I hope they dont do business they way their workers do. So in short I stuck as to what to do from here. He told me just to relist them on Craigslist. And it really pisses me off he did this. But he has a pretty green EK civic........ Anyways, this is just a warning to anyone living in the Arlington, TX area. Dont do business with this dude. He is shady. Unfortunately for him, I have his cell humber, i know where he lives, and where he works. And I dont take well to being ripped off.

Looks like something for Judge Judy.

You could try filing with your local court system and have him served with a summon's.

Just put Suger in his gas tank then Remove his oil plug in the middle of the night and then pop his hood, and pour half a gallon of salt water under his oil cap

Yeah, this is pretty much what Small Claims court was created for.

Doing anything illegal in retaliation to him would obviously undermine whatever chance you have of recovering your money from him, plus he could escalate things back your way afterwards, which would make both of you miserable.

But, at the very least, remember to learn something from this. Before going to pick up something sight unseen, learn what the item you're supposedly buying looks like. Then when you got there you could've told him off for trying to sell you the wrong seats, not exchanged money, and gone on your way.

Pull the cap and remove the rotor and replace the cap for his ignition.
Advance the timing all the way.
Crank his spark plugs so they strip the threads out.
Use a screwdriver to pop his axles out of the tranny.
Slice his CV boots.
Bologna on his hood
grease on his brake rotors
Pour/spray skunk spray or doe in heat on his car seats.

Or, being less nefarious...
Jack his car up and put it on blocks of wood so the wheels won't grip the ground.
Wrap it in stretch wrap/saran wrap.

wow, this is your fault. sorry but you really shouldnt be buying parts like this. prelude and gsr seats dont look alike, you live you learn
all the crap up there is stupid and is only going to get you in trouble and cost you more money in the end.
put them on craigslist, sell them and move on.

I thought it was legal to Carry and conceal in Texas? I wouldn't want to rip off anyone in that state.

never knew that. I always figured a few brake fluid balloons should take care of paint.

Just cause you can carry, don't mean you can cap someone that sold you the wrong seats....unless you want to go to jail.

and oh yeah, in texas, if there are enough witnesses, you'll get the chair for murder

doesn't sound worth it for some seats, that btw, if you know your hondas, would have been able to tell the difference when he purchased them.

Try getting justice the legal way, not the illegal way.

Yeah, take him to small claims. I don't know if it's worth it but if you want justice, that's the way to go.

what could possibly be badass about that?? the fact that you're an immature **** and cant confront someone like a man so you resort to tampering with his car? If I caught someone doing that, theyd catch a bullet. I am completely intolerant of damaging property to get revenge. If its really that important to get your spiteful revenge, settle it like men, in the backyard with bare fists.

/end rant.

I have been to his house 3 times since buying to seats trying to speak with him. Although his car was there, he never was, so his sister and mother said. But I would love to catch him buy himself one day.
