Default 2g civic dead pedal?

was there ever a dead pedal (dummy pedal, foot rest next to clutch) available for the 2g civic? Mine doesn't have one and it's a little annoying. I don't know where to keep my left foot and don't want to tear up my original carpet lol.

My '83 1500 S doesn't have one. I would think if they existed it would be on the "s" model. I haven't ever seen it in any of the accessory lists or brochures.

So, do you just keep your foot over the clutch then? Cause dang... THAT WOULD BE SO annoying.

Just make one, bro?

no, lol

I just rest it on the wheel well hump, but that's all irregular shaped and there's nowhere 'comfortable' to put keep my foot.

I may fiddle around with making my own, I'm just concerned that it doesn't look 'homemade' if you know what I mean.

Time and patience, sir.
Or can't you just buy a random dead pedal and fab it up a bit? Eh,eh,eh?

No dead pedal in my old S either. You could buy the password JDM floor plate that has the adjustable dead pedal but I would suggest just fabbing something up off of the wheel well hump.

I know this is not the Gen your are working with, but on the 3Gen hatches I don't recall my 84 1500S having a dead pedal, but I know that both of my 86 Si hatches do. Maybe worth looking into the later 3Gen hatches dead pedal to see if it can be put into the 2Gen without too much effort. I'm not too familiar 2Gens, helped replace a clutch in one once.
