i personaly i dont like the the new Si or EM civics. The only part of the Si i like is the touring style shifter

longest its quick, reliable, and it handles well, I'll take one = looks department is least important when people see just the rear bumper

also as always, at first people seem to hate the design, as we learn more about the car, more parts come out, the more interested buyers flock... it was the case with EK (96-00) cars, before that with 92-5 EG hatches (look now all hybrids are almost EGs)
