got bored at the shop so i just took off my axleback and used 400 grit on it. THEN got super lazy n just rubbing compounded it. i was going to keep going through the grits and get a mirror finish. but yea i got lazy lol still came out ok.

i will eventually purchase a OEM ctr b pipe and axleback n prollie polish that, but for now this is what i will ride with =D

Haha, that is not an understatement. I have been putting off doing this myself for the same reason. Depending on how far you go with it there can be tons of work involved!

 

yea def needs more elbow grease for a better result, but im using all my elbow grease on the Rikens im restoring ><*..when i am done with the Rikens i will be mirror finishing either a em1 or a better looking OEM axleback or a OEM CTR axleback..this was a tester lol

thats how mine looked until i bought mothers aluminum polish...

 

huge improvement. still looks way better the way it came out even if you did get lazy towards the end.
