Default D15B7 question???

just a quick question, you may know i picked up a 92 civic 4 door recently and it has a D15B7 in it... my question is, this motor came from honda with 102hp non vtec, on the side of the block right above the transmission is a solenoid that looks exactly like a vtec solenoid. What is this thing??? thx!

Do you have an automatic transmission? If so, it is lock up control solenoid valve A/B.

It's an automatic I'm assuming? If so, those are the shift solenoids for the tranny I believe.

Hey Ron, I tried to PM me but I couldn't. Anyway, is your 92-95 service manual searchable? Because I tried searching in mine and it wouldn't find anything. I'm using Adobe Reader btw.

Yes. If your manual is not searchable, use Adobe Acrobat to convert text images into real text (Go to Document>Recognize Text Using OCR). This conversion will make the text searchable.
