I got a 1.6 vtec in my civic & need a distributor(its a jdm motor). It has a td 45u distributor in it now(I think it a japan dizzy),anyway I want to know what the differnace is between a td-42u & a td-45u dizzy is. Thanks for the help.

 

What 1.6 vtec are you talking about...please give me the year, and type of engine.

 

92-95 1.6vtech with a p28 cpu & obd1. wondering the differnce in dizzys.

 

If it fits, and works with the OBD1 wiring, then it doesn't matter. They are all internally the same.
