Default partial throttle problems

I just finished putting my b18a1 in my crx car idles good and everything revs up fine but when i try to keep it at a constant rpm it seems to hesitate or surge i only got one error code and its for the iacv could that really be the problem?other than that check for any vaccum leaks and checked all my connections but nothing.or could it possibly be my distributor? would a sohc si work on this motor?

yea did that but im not really have problems with the idle im just having problems if i try and keep the rpms constant it will fluctuate roughly 100 rpm or so but if i try and hold it above 3000 its fine things ive done was change spark plug wires and adjust the tps and check for vaccum leaks but came up with nothing

hmm. does this happen when you're driving? It happens to me as well. I have a b16 hatch. BUt after 3000 it runs fine. Would like some type of clarity on this problem also.

maybe your coil isnt sending enough spark? happened to me recently (again) so I bought a MSD external set up from my friend for $100 and now it runs perfect...just keep that in mind, the internal ones are okay for a while but I got tired of this so why not with the MSD. good luck.... we knew the coil because when we check the spark with the spark plug to the frame it was real weak and hesitated while driving, we put the MSD with the SS blaster coil and no problems no more, runs way better and idle and throttle, its worth it.

i have a similar problem, car loses power randomly when going a constant speed. usually about 60-70mph. if i floor it the power comes back. shutting off the car and restarting fixes it, sometimes for weeks, sometimes 30 minutes?

UPDATE!!!!!
alright changed the distributor and converted to obd1
and still no luck double triple checked timing its good, plugs and wires is all good, getting iacv cel and o2 cel, could the iacv really be the culprit? unplugged it still fluctuates rpms during part throttle and tried blocking off the hole for the iacv and still does it. Running out of options here

question my car is originally a 88 crx dx and converted to mpfi obviously but are any of the wires different from the ls motor or something? Because my car was running perfectly fine with a d16a6 in my car.
