? for jdm front owners
i'm about to start on my jdm front conversion soon and trying to make sure i have everything ready for the install. my question is my front end came with the jdm hood latch, now does the oem hood latch cable work or do i need one from a DA cause i heard they are longer. ohh yeah are jdm fender brackets and jdm fender liner need or not need?
Yeah i don't mind keeping my usdm front but someone back into my car in a parking lot. Damage is not bad just few scratches on bumper and headlights. I found a really good deal on a hid front plus a friend's shop willing 2 do all the work for free. And also where i live u don't see jdm front ends.

I wasn't trying to sound like a hater. My jaw still drops when I see any Integra/ITR with a JDM frontend.
i am the original owner of my py itr. had it for 9 yrs now with 24k on it and for the longest time i baby it. i realized that i will be keeping my car hopefully forever. i since put mods like toda headers, mugen intake and exhaust, 16" spoon rims, c's short shift, jdm seats and srs steering wheel. i also have toda spec a and apexi power fc put im still on the fences about doing anything to the engine and if i do i think i want something with a bigger kick than the A's. i'm waiting for the clutch to go out so i can update it with a lighter flywheel and ats final drive. dont wanna do anything to the suspension but it does sit alil hi so i might do zeal coilovers. and i want some spoon calibers i know it debated about if it improves performance but i like the look of em.
If your USDM front end isn't all that damaged keep it so you can put it back on down the road. It seems JDM is becoming the new rice. Glad you've taken care of it for all 9 years! 24k is pretty low!
There's nothing wrong with the JDM frontend, personally, I like the JDM frontend better then the USDM ITR frontend. I just can't see cutting a real, authentic, USDM frontend up to put a Japanese frontend on it. USDM ITR's are badge numbered, rare cars. The more authentic you keep it, the better in my opinion.

either way. it's your car and you should do what makes you happy. you'll get nothing but mixed opinions on here.
i have no idea how this turned into a usdm vs jdm. but i'm a 100% sure im going with the conversion, i all ready got all the parts and is scheduled to bring the car to the shop. i'm just trying to tie up some loose ends.
btw just ordered a DA hood cable at the dealership for 45 bucks. ouch.

I have a JDM front end conversion. Bought the car like that....if i had to do it again, i would have looked for something that is 100% original, at the very least, body panels. IMO, I wouldn't do a JDM front end conversion on a USDM ITR.
i also did a jdm front to my low mileage 98 cw clean title r. if u dont plan on selling the car then just do what makes u happy. i still very much like the usdm front also.
So my Itrs RICE?? =P
