wat wire do i use on distib for tack?????????????
if you're trying to hook up a 5" sunpro monster tach, please don't. just get yourself a gauge cluster that already has a tach in it to begin with. you'll thank me later

yes its the solid blue wire at the distributor. i'm pretty sure this wire is available behind the cluster though, but don't hold me to that. that's how it is on an ed/ef chassis anyway. it sounds so ghetto running a wire out to the engine bay to run any tach in general. i dunno that's just me.
your right it looks getto 2 but i cant find a good dash set anywear and in not paying 200 hundred for a used one from so ones beater car ill get a type r cluster soon this is just 2 hold my over 2 run the car
take out the tach and look at the plugs is the blue wire for the rpms
Why would you tap in at the distributor?
The wire is right there behind the cluster...
'tis blue
wtf... you can buy a used EX cluster for the same price or even less than you paid for the ugly *** tach. Direct swap, no wiring required, nothing. Easier than cake, and doesn't look like ****.

Who gives a **** about even having a tach right now? I ran my DX with no tach for over a year. Just use your ears. Listen to the engine. Do it right and just buy an EX cluster. I ABSOLUTELY HATE when I see cars with those big tachs sitting there. Makes me embarrassed to drive my Honda sometimes.
However... IF you really want that thing in there just use the wire behind the cluster as previously mentioned. The car is already prewired for it.

who puts a tach on a 1.5 anywho, I think the tach has more performance than the engine.....
most of my lawn tractors probably have more power than that thing and I dont need a tach, as R666 EK said, learn to use your ears, hell I been drivin manual transmissions since before I could legally drive and never needed a tach.........................
You need a tach when adjusting idle speed or when you're inspecting/setting timing. Also, if you have a manual transmission, it helps to know at what rpm you're shifting.
its basically just a diagnostic tool, yeah it may look cool but ya dont really need it...... which leads to something I've never quite understood, why do more automatics come with tachs and most manuals dont???? makes ya wonder
I was just sayin cars in general, and yeah usually the economy models dont have it, just seems odd to have a tach in an auto instead of a manual, u'd think it would be base to have a tach in a manual trans car.....
