wobbly rearview mirror help

Default wobbly rearview mirror help

anyone have any solutions to keeping the mirror from swinging around

its not that bad but it never stays in place

anything that i can put inside to stiffen it up a bit?

Replace it with a different one maybe? I think you can get them at a junkyard for cheap.

Not exactly sure about honda, but I have had mirrors in other cars fall off.
Some of them had a small screw that would tighten the mirror up.

I think Honda has a nut that can be tightened.
(Just going off a mental image from removing my mirror YEARS ago.)
The nut i'm thining about can be found on the top side of the mirror - found under the plastic cover and can be seen clearly when you remove the mirror from the car.

its just at the adjustment pivotal ball that makes it move. it doesnt shake or anything

yes i know you can get a new one

seems like all of them would do that. i just thought we could put something that would cause a bit of resistance on it to keep it together better. its really not all over the place but its annoying enough to fix it anytime you give it any sort of throttle response

i line the in side of mine with a piece of news paper and shove it back on it holds pretty tight, then just tear the excess away.

if you could find a way to get some silicon grease, or any other heavy grease onto the pivot ball that may help.

or some thick waxy substance... i know there are common household/garage products like this but i can't think of the names of any of them..
