240 whp 2.0 LS/VTEC. Done.
This is what detonation looks like and how it destroys a brand new fully built engine in less then 30 miles. Apon detonation, the head lifted up off the block, and blew metal into all 4 cylinders.

Boost FTW. Bottom end is GE knfie Edge crank, sleeved, Eagle H beam rods, everything excpect pistons are perfect, can still see the hone.
The reason this happened is becasue this store lied to and sold me 108 ocatane when I need 110 because he hates imports. So yea. Tune was great. Just the ******* who sold me the fuel.

i dont thing the 2 octane point difference caused that since the points can vary up and down by a few, something failed in the motor like stated above

Yea, I forgot to state in the orginal post, that we are leaning more towards it dropping a valve, but how would every cylinder have metal shavings in them when all they are all fine? Thats why we are curious about the whole detonation
man with all the engine failures i might have to get back into the engine building business, looks like most of the people that do it now just plain suck.
Cam gears...??? SET IT AND FORGET IT!!!
Cook a chicken dinner in 15 minutes!
Order in the next 10 minutes & get a free broken retainer!
Back on topic.... Sorry to see the destruction of your motor due to a piston to valve or valve to valve issue... Could have also been a faulty retainer install etc.

Sorry for your loss. If you post some actual details of the build we may be able to help you figure out how/why it happened so you don't do it again.
What cams?
What valvetrain?
What compression?
Were v2v and p2v checked?
