chatter is normal when cold but you still need it done if you havent for awhile. its fair. its alot of oil hands and leaning forward hurting the back its worth it.

I just did my valve adjustment a few days ago myself. Not hard at all. Just a bit time consuming especially on the intake valves because of the s*it that's around the intake manifold.

My ls has the same problem. I've been searching off and on for a while now on a good write-up on how to do-it-yourself.

i just did my valve adjustment last week. you need a special 10mm wrench to adjust the valves on vtec b-series engine. go to c-speedracing.com & check out the how to do section.

i don't think you'll do any damage (other than maybe excessive wear on rockers from slapping the valve stem...) if it's too loose. your valves won't be opening as soon or as far as if it's adjusted properly.

if they are too tight though, the valve may not go fully closed, you loose compression and burn up the valve.

there could be more i'm not thinking of too...

i dont think you NEED the special wrench, but i know from doing k series and d series the tool makes it a hell of a lot easier, its worth the 15$ at like checkers. I believe were talking about the same tool. if were not i apologize.

On my d-series non-vtec I used a 10mm closed wrench and a screw driver and it worked fine.
