Yes, they should fit. I actually have ITR rear shocks for my 88 HB.

The 96-00 Rear shocks forks are not as wide as EF/EG/DC shock forks, that is because the EF/EG/DC uses are thicker LCA (Lower control arm). Even if they fit I think you would have to bend the fork outwards and I wouldn't recommend doing that.

ITR rear shocks will fit in an 88 Civic/CRX because the share the same LCA, the 89-91 has different LCAs.

I did not know that; I knew that the LCAs were different but the width is news to me.

Definitely. When I have shocks laying around it is easy to tell the difference between EG/DC and EK shocks. That is why when you have an EK you can use EG/DC shocks but you need washers to compensate for the extra space.

No, different dimensions. If possible, he can probably grind the lower shock bushing to make it thinner.

That is the way Honda made it. 89-91 have the same LCA but the 88 was the outcast.

The only big difference in ITR and CRX is that ITR doesn't have the coating on the outside - it's just painted.

Actually a bigger difference is the 88 LCA's don't have a welded nut for the sway links(it's just a hole).
