benefit of using EG forks on EF?

Default benefit of using EG forks on EF?

My car (91 civic ex) came with eg forks and ebay coilovers.....
What is the benefit of using the eg forks? or is there one?

Its probably so they could use the wrong shocks on the car.

I believe (but am not positive) that the EG forks are wider (the shock opening), allowing the use of EG shocks.

If you are cheap and already have EG shocks...

Not all mods are done because they are the best performing modification to do. I don't know if there is any performance benefit to using shocks off of a different car. The only reason I would consider it would be if I had a car that there was no aftermarket support for, but that's me.
