Default code 23 on gsr

i have a couple questions for u guys... i just noticed that the knock sensor code is showing up after every time i hit the end of vtec in 2nd (sometimes) and 3rd (pretty much all the time). also if sometimes goes on if i hit 3k in 5th. so my question is, could my timing really be off? car runs great and i just replaced the plugs and wires, theres no hesitation or anything. i re-wired it and it still shows up after i hit vtec. im thinkin the sensors just loose which im goin to check tomorrow. but what other reasons could theyre be on y its throwing the code? distributor, timing belt (although that was done about 6 months ago and i never had this problem after it was installed), anything else? also will throwing the code affect the power in vtec, even if there is no timing issue and the sensor is just loose, bc i feel it used to pull harder when code 23 didnt appear.

yes it does effect your power. knock sensor code puts your ar in "safe mode" so if it was really knocking you wont blow it up. i would check your timing

Wouldn't my car be running rough if my timing really was off tho?

turned out to be a stupid mistake on my part. the connection from the sensor to the new wire was fine, i just didnt have the wire in far enough in the d3 hole on the ecu. it runs great now with issues... i guess u gotta learn from ur own mistakes lol
