yeah, you'll be fine. the 7 heat range is probably a little bit better for your b16 than the factory 6 range.

no worries. just make sure you double check the clearance before you put them in, and, of course, use a **** ton of that anti-freeze. it'll save your life.

also, check out www.sparkplugs.com. good price and really fast shipping.

Why would an colder plug be better than the factory specified heat range on a bone stock motor?

well, for one, its a jdm b16, which has higher compression. the factory specified heat range for an american gsr or b16 is 6. ive read in several articles, now dont get me wrong, that having a colder plug creates a better spark at high rpms. ill try to pull up the articles i read.

on another note, i guess it depends on how he drives the motor. if he doesnt see too many high rpms, i guess there is no point in buying a colder plug.

Yeah, I was just wondering if having a plug to cold would have a negative effect on throttle response. And I'm not sure where the OP is located and what type of gas is available, but I've noticed a colder plug in my gsr helped especially with our crappy ca 91 octane.

Prestone?

BTW, don't use a "**** ton", use a thin coat on a few threads just off the bottom face.

i am located in oklahoma and run 91 octane gas. that is the highest octange gas we have at the pumps. what is this "anti-freeze" you speak of? i assume its not the same antifreeze as what goes in your radiator. what do you think of my denso iridium's that are currently in the engine now?

Antisieze.

Use a small dab, size of a bb and lightly coat. And be very careful to not get it on any ceramic portion of da plug.

Fo-shizzay.

Not a sparkplug but the best pic I could find with proper application of antisieze on threads.

And then really go over da top and put dielectric grease on the ceramic boot portion of da plug.
