ok i have
cheap headers on my 96gsr b/c stock was cracked and needed a quick fix. But that lead to a megen racing resonator and i want to replace it with a magnaflow hi flow cat (oval or round im not sure what fits better?) but the resonator is pretty new andi was wondering if i should work that in the system or just leave it straight out from the cat? keeping in mind im trying to cut back on the raspy buzzy sound that drives me bananas. What are you guys doing thats working for you? how do i get rid of that 2-4k buzzing noise ?thnx for your honest opinion. I ve been trying to find my answers and i end up learning something else

-short shifter
-cold air intake in the bumper.
-cheap 4-1 headers, megen resonator 2.5" pipe mandrel bent into a cheap evo type muffler(annoying)
- P72 obd1 jump from obd2 chipped and basemap bumped moderately. vtec @3500 and really whines out in hi rev. Skunk 2 intake manifold on the way and going to reconfigure the exhaust quieter but still hi flow.(getting tuned and set to drive daily) then going to build up a more agressive long block on the side to drop in and find a eg shell like i use to have ( shoulda never sold it that vx )

 

yeah you need a cat to make it sound better. along w/ a nice resonator. this will take the rasp out. besides why pollute for 2 hp...........?
