Default 99 civic cd/stereo in 94 civic coupe. Not very loud.

everything is stock. I am running some cheap sony 2 ways in the doors and stock tweets. I am not running anything in the rear for now because they were blown so i took them out. I noticed that the sound isnt very loud even at full max. Is this normal? Do I need to put some rears in? Is there a way to bridge it so the power from the rears will go to the door speakers? Do the rears get more power and if so should I connect the rear cables to the fronts?

you will think its louder cause theres 2 more speakers, but its a stock deck, with aftermarket speaker, you can only expect so much.

Well logically wouldnt it get louder adding 2 more speakers for the rear. Or is all the power going to the front right now only because those are the ones that are only hooked up.

no there is still power going to the rear inless you have the balance or fade all the way to the front.
its going to but not much, as i said b4 your trying to power aftermarket speakers with higher watts with a stock low watt deck.
and sony speakers arent all that great any ways

You will increase output by connecting rear speakers. Lets assume your head unit has a amplifier output of 5 watts X 4, you currently have 2 channels running @ 5W per ch. X 2 for a total of 10 watts. Connecting the rear channels will utilize the rear outputs increasing output, and you will effectively double your cone area by adding a second set of speakers.
