bondo makes a nightmare if you use it wrong!!! your suppose to weld on strips of sheet metal. tack it on lightly let time to cool down if you dont you'll warp the doors. then apply bondo or light weight filler. if you did the weld right your bondo should be no thicker then 1/8 of and inch any thicker it'll crack over time.. rember bondo is made to smoth things out not create a new car. think of it as thick paint. fill in those holes on your wing with spot welds then grind to a smooth use light weight filller glaze to a perfect flat sanded suface..

Like stated above. Go wingless and keep the moldings. I would personally go with black moldings though. For some reason I have never been a fan of paint matched moldings.
Fill it full of Bondo? Gods no! If anything do like suggested and weld in strips of metal... If a welder isn't accessable (this is NOT the right way to do this) then ATLEAST grind the area really good with some 40 grit and go to a good body supply store and get some kitty hair, spread that in there, shape it, then get some Featherlite Chromelite and put that on there... Bondo brand bondo holds a lot of moisture... Stay away from that junk...
a welder isnt a problem id get it done at my local bodyshop as there the whos who did my front bumper and they charge a fair price like. just wanted to see if anyone had pics of it done cos i dont wanna spend all that money for it too look **** lol
.
im really debaiting taking the wing off might take it off today see what it looks like then if it looks crap put it back one but yes as far as the moldings i dont like them silver either but it came like that but i ripped my front splitter off the other day
so im gunna respray that black so may do the moldings and skirts to match. possibly picking up a black bonnet too this weekend so we will see how it goes...

If you do the moldings black that looks pretty good... I've seen that done before... My vote is either black moldings or just no moldings... Bein that I've worked on trucks for years and being shave crazy I don't like the looks of em with the body line shaved like that... It looks to plain...
Above is how I did my hatch three years ago....

But as someone has said before, get the job done right, welding is the only way to go mate.
