what 2 do about o2 sensors
ok, 96 gsr cheap header and my evolving exhaust set up.2.5"(cheap and now i regret and improvising on a budget) Im looking to get a magnaflow cat and offset muffler but im concerned about what to do with aft sensor if the cat doesnt have a bung. There's one in the collector but what can i do about the o2 sensors? just tap a hole for it in the pipe or what about getting the ecu to ignore the 02 code so it doesnt throw it into limp mode again?
I had to hack away the cheap resonator b/c it was rattling inside(cheap) So it's just cheap headers to megan resonator and then straight back to a huge annoying buzz can 4'' tip. I want free flow set up but not so damn loud. please some one point me in the right direction with out spending a grand on racing exhaust i dont really need. I can cut and weld my own custom set up but everything ive tried doesnt end up satisfying me. i couldn't find anything so anybody with some help will be appreciated.thanks

well no 96 its obd2 .. i have an obd1 ecu jump to my obd 2 car. yeah the header has a hole close enough to use (cheap) and the resonator had one too but the cats ive been looking at dont show a bung for it. I have heard of guys getting their ecus to ignore the o2 sensors but then what dis advantages would follow that?
ok, i'll end up getting the magnaflow hi flow cat and muffler cut/fit/weld into place and if the cat doesnt have a bung like you would think im going to just bore a hole in the pipe and weld a bung for sensor. probably put it right before the cat flange if it will reach..any suggestions? Im trying to avoid o2 codes popping up and giving me issues... with the obd1 ecu conversion can i get by with only one or will it i have issues with it running funny on me ? please explain thanks for your time.. ..oh and with the more aggressive basemap it seems to miss a beat once in a while accelerating ,just running rich or do the o2 sensors have something to do with that

There's maganflow cats that have holes for both the primary and secondary o2 sensors already threaded into the body. Maybe you should look into that.
If not, and you're stuck on this magnaflow high flow cat you are talking about, then here's a suggestion. Chances are the cat is going to be shorter in length when compared to the OEM one you're planning on replacing. That will likely mean you'll need to extend the ends of the cat to meet at the collector on one side and b pipe on the other. at those pipe extensions, weld 2 bungs for your o2 sensors. One will be before the cat and the other after the cat but before the b pipe. .

Im just wondering what others are doing. those O2 sensors dont reach too far .But still what about getting buy with just one since my ecu is obd1 . I was shopping around and cant find a cat for reasonable price with bungs un the right spots. I can cut and weld bungs no problem thats how i got my goofed up set up now. ... Just dont have thousands of dollars to drop on a super nice exhaust when my car needs other things im doing to it at the moment. The guys at the tuber shop said they could get me up to 200whp if i straighten out my exhaust and get a bigger intake manifold. Trying to do all this with out going over my 1000 dolllar limit LOL.
what about the obd2 to 1 o2 sensor deal? b4 i had the programmed and chipped ecu i was running around with aft sensor hooked up and it threw a code ans seeded to go into limp mode, sputterin and cutting out vtec not working but i got the sensor in the resonator and it went away and it started driving normal again.

If you're running an OBD 1 ecu, then you'll only have one sensor input programmed so you can get away with running one o2 sensor before the cat.
