searched: how do I connect 2.5" exhaust
I am thinking of building a custom 2.5" exhaust but I don't know how to connect it to my stock 3/4" "downpipe thinger". How is that done?

Local muffler shop should be able to do that for you. You can either attach a freeflow CAT with a 2.5 flange or get your current set up enlarged and welded...

cut the flange off the cat and weld that flange to the straight pipe. done and simple. make sure you weld it at a 45 degree angle. trust me i had to reweld it.
