2.5" downpipe -->> 3" cat : how does it work?
I'm wondering what is the way to bolt up this junction?? Do I need to use a 3" flange on the downpipe or do I need a different flange on the 3" cat that would fit the 2.5" flange on the dp. Another way I heard is to flare the 2.5" dp to 3" at the end. TIA
either you will have to flare the downpipe from 2.5 -> 3
-or-
redo the cat and have a 2.5 -> 3 adapter flange put on.

i have one for sale...standard drag downpipe..with welded 3inch straight pipe( NO CAT) with 02 bung welded on....pm me..make offer..its in great condition...
do this....
go to muffler shop, ask them for a 3" 3 bolts flange, then have them get a 2.5" piping about 3-4 inches long and have them use a pipe expander to make it 3", so now you have a 3" 3 bolts flange and 4" of piping flaring from 2.5 - 3"
have them weld the 3" side of the piping to the flange
now, go to autozne and get a flex exhaust kit, it's about 5 bucks, comes with 2 secure band...
hook up one side of the flex pipe to your DP and the other side to the 2.5" side of the flange
voila
