I have an 01 cr 125.. i got a new top end done and then i sunk it in muddy water.. water and mud have gotten inside the crank case.. it was siezed up but when i put oil in it started to turn so i just want to get the mud and water out of the crank shaft area. I am wondering if There is a way where i can flush out the mud with oil or sea foam.. i put some in but i cant seem to drain it it just pools... any ideas would be great.

 

No... disassemble and drench that suck in WD40 until you can find replacement rings and hone

 

x2 if you keep trying to crank it you will f-up your engine....it dose not take that long to to a rebuild... i done them in a hour or so...

 

i have the cylinder head off and the crank shaft is exposed, where the rod disapears into the crank shaft that is where it pools and i am wondering if there is anyway to drain from there. it will not drain from the transmission drain plug.... when u say rebuild do you mean spliting the crankcase.. dont you need a press or something...

 

ok didn't know you had the top end off....only other thing i can think of is completely take out the motor from the frame and turn it upside down. but make sure when you put everything back together right and do 2 or 3 oil changes to make sure you flushed everything out and double check the cylinder for scratches.

spray the wd40 in side where the crankcase? then after i spray do i take motor out and turn it over and let it drip or is there any way that it will drain with out taking motor out? i will do the wd 40 and the multiple oil changes and if i have to turn motor over .

 

kerosene works better for flushing but since its already apart,you might as well rebuild it.it will save you more agony in the long run because you are never going to get all the foreign deposits out just by general flushing.you dont need a press but i highly advise seeing your honda dealer and get a flywheel puller and a case splitter.both makes 2stroke rebuilding go by like a breeze.dont forget to clean the power valve and might as well get a new piston since its down unless you know the history of bike which included a recent rebuild.its way to easy to rebuild so i just rebuild my or freshen up my cr250 with normal rides like every 20 hrs or so,depending on my riding but the tm says like every 3 races or so.u definately dont want a exploding piston in your cylinder

Wd40 is to protect against oxidation, not to clean out the motor. Wd40 is a solvent, not a lubricant, and will keep rust from forming, Kerosene will not. your gonna need to completely clean that engine out whatever you do, wd40 will not effect you in any fashion before you do this. Kerosene can be used for actual cleaning... wd40 will protect until you get to that piont

 

I also agree with brownshigh this is just the best way.
